Below is a list of our upcoming 1 or 2 day cutting and colouring courses. We also have information on the FETAC Level 5 hairdressing courses offered at Clifden Hedz Hairdressing Academy.

2-day Cutting Courses

Two-day cutting courses are available either on a Saturday and Sunday or a Sunday and a Monday every month, and are currently being offered at a discounted price of €250. The range of courses are Classic, Contemporary, and Advanced.

Saturday, 26th & Sunday, 27th of May
Saturday, 23rd & Sunday, 24th of June
Sunday, 22nd & Monday, 23rd of July

Courses run from 10am to 5pm.

1-day Advanced Cutting Courses

There is an option to do a one day course (on a Sunday), which is at an advanced level – the cost is €150.00. Please call us on 095 22202 for more information.

Style Your Own Hair

“Style your own hair” is a 10 hour practical skills training course to help people do a variety of things on their own hair. The course is ideal for the professional stylist who is looking for inspiration and motivation in the fascinating world of hair colour.

Winter, Spring, Summer &  Autumn is the golden opportunity to seasonally adjust our clients colour using permanent, semi permanent and highlighting products all on the one client.

This is the topic of the one day colouring course and techniques will be shown and used to maximise the clients experience and maximise the revenue for the hairdresser with ever colour client.

The course will be theory and practical.  It is recommended to bring a model but not compulsory.

Only €150.00 for this one day colouring course – there may be funding for this course so please give us a call.

Get refreshed with classic and contemporary hairstyles that reveal the hair’s true potential. The “chocolate Orange “on medium length hair  and a “short crop haircut” demonstrated and illustrated on day one and day two covers “Disconnection on short and long hair. ”

Tutor giving patient and professional assistant.  We send you out ready to unravel potential new clients.  Incorporate some of the latest techniques in haircutting into your daily routine. The course has something for everyone,  for the first timers to a Hedz Academy course or for the repeat participants who  leave enthused and educated every time. Short and long hair are the major themes on this course.It’s very hands on and very much one to one education with qualified and motivated tutors.

HAIRDRESSING FETAC LEVEL 5

 NEW COURSE STARTING SEP/OCT 2012

Courses are FREE for participants who are receiving social  welfare or HSE payment

The course involves Hairdressing Science, Hairdressing Theory & Practice, Customer Service, Safety and Health at Work, Communications, Work Experience & two other FETAC Level 5 modules.

Practical modules will be held in Clifden Hedz Academy.  Theory modules in the Further Education Centre Clifden/Letterfrack.

The Courses are delivered on a part time basis either one day a week or two evenings a week whichever you would prefer.
